Project Cadarnhad focuses on empowering people through recognising and celebrating their skills and experience. Central to the project is the importance in working with people in ways that make them feel comfortable.
Project Cadarnhad is accessible through Welsh or English; achievements can be recorded by spoken word, video demonstration, written testimony or whatever method suits the individual.
We work in the counties of Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Based in PLANED, we can offer Agored accreditation to individuals of all ages and backgrounds, although our main work is in supporting existing groups and organisations to offer their own accredited awards to the people who know them best.

Through Prosiect Cadarnhad, PLANED is now a recognised Agored Cymru centre and is able to assess and award certification for skills and experience.
As a registered charity and social enterprise, Agored Cymru committed to ensuring that learners of all ages and abilities maximise their potential and can be achieved in either English or Welsh.
Agored Cymru provides people of all ages the opportunity to life-long learning whether they are in full-time education, employment or trying to find a job. Their certificates and qualifications are recognised throughout the UK and Internationally.
Prosiect Cadarnhad has been supporting Elemental Adventures so that they can provide accredited learning to the young people who attend their courses. Many of the young people that they work with have difficulties with mainstream schooling and this is an opportunity for them to gain recognised qualifications.
Elemental Adventures CIC is a not-for-profit social enterprise offering nature connection for health & wellbeing, providing opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to connect with each other and the natural world.
Prosiect Cadarnhad has been working with the Menter Iaith in West Carmarthenshire as part of their Profi programme. The Profi Project is concerned with employability and we have been helping them to provide accredited training, in Welsh and English, to those who need extra confidence when applying for jobs.
Menter Iaith provides support and advice to individuals, organisations and businesses as well as holding a wide range of activities to raise awareness of the Welsh language and strengthen its use in their communities.
Prosiect Cadarnhad has been working with POINT to help improve the confidence of young people by awarding accreditation for the activities that they undertake there. From music, to sport and through to craft, we have been happy to support POINT in rewarding young people for their skills.
Fishguard and Goodwick Young Persons Trust Ltd, or POINT, was established in 2001 to give young people somewhere safe, warm and welcoming to spend their leisure time.
This was the first organisation that Prosiect Cadarnhad worked with and were able to award the young people certificates in sporting activities and customer service. We continue to work with Milford Youth Matters by supporting them with advice and even specific pieces of hardware so that they are better able to help the young people of the area to achieve more.
Milford Youth Matters is a resource for young people between the ages of 14 and 25 living in Milford Haven and the surrounding area by providing advice and assistance and organising programmes of educational, physical and other activities.
Prosiect Cadarnhad is working on two distinct projects with the Tywi Gateway Trust at Parc yr Esgob in Abergwili. One of the projects is with young people with additional learning needs gaining work experience within the park.
The second project is run in the historic walled garden so that local people can achieve a qualification in horticulture. We have already helped people to achieve accreditation in both projects with some of the learners embarking on higher level Agored Cymru qualifications.
The Harbwr project at Ysgol Bro Gwaun works with pupils with intense complex needs who are taught an alternative life skills curriculum. With Prosiect Cadarnhad’s innovative approach to collecting and assessing learner evidence the school has reached out to us in order for us to work with them to help the young people to achieve Agored Cymru accreditation.
We have already worked with some of the young people from Ysgol Bro Gwaun through their attendance at the POINT youth centre in Fishguard.
Prosiect Cadarnhad is working with Môr Futures in order for them to be able to provide accredited training to the people that they work with.
Môr Futures is a Pembrokeshire People First project which has been developing as a creative enterprise since 2022. They are working with people from the local area, using art and creativity to develop confidence with the aim to improve independent living skills and employment opportunities.
