Partners from across the three counties of West Wales, all met at PLANED this week, to both reflect, and plan for the future, on the Micro Enterprises element of the, Catalyst for Care Programme.
Established initially in Pembrokeshire in 2020, it has now grown and developed to cover the Hywel Dda Health Board footprint with over 135 currently operational, micro enterprises across the three counties.
Supporting almost 800 clients annually, the micro enterprises across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, and Pembrokeshire, currently provide in excess of 2,750 hours per week of care and support to people in their own homes.
The Catalyst for Care project which is a collaboration between PLANED, the three Community Voluntary Councils, Local Authorities, and the Health Board, sees collaboration in action, to improve the choice of preventative services across the region, that better support people to remain living independently and well within their own homes and communities.
The project is part of the collective solution that partners can offer to individuals and families, and helps to retain expertise and knowledge from those who may have retired or left other providers.
The meeting of all partners held in PLANED, identified the learning from the success and challenges to date, and looked at future opportunities that would further embed this project, within our community models across organisations working collectively.
With initial analysis and modelling undertaken demonstrating that for every £1 invested in this project and programme, a further £3.48 is created in social value, the benefits to all are increasingly important to harness, and to continue to work collectively as partners, who have the appropriate delivery, knowledge, and expertise, across our communities, here in West Wales.
